Donald Novey, M.D. has been a board-certified family physician since 1978. Besides his regular family medicine practice, Dr. Novey has published numerous medical textbooks, has been active in the field of medical education, and has won numerous awards internationally for his work. He founded and directed the Center for Complementary Medicine for its 10 year term and is an attending physician at Lutheran General Hospital.

Dr. Novey completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Ravenswood Hospital in Chicago. He enjoys providing standard family medicine care as well as combining mainstream and natural medicine approaches for wellness or healing.  He volunteers his time extensively and feels that balance in life is very necessary for maintaining health and life satisfaction. Dr. Novey has special expertise in the fields of dermatology, health screening, prevention of illness, women’s and men’s health issues, long term management of illness, uses of herbs and supplements, and natural medicine. He likes to help people of all ages, cultures and problems.
